真冬の農作業　巨峰編

先日はさくらんぼの受粉作業中の園地にお邪魔しましたが、
今回は竹原地区で巨峰の超加温栽培をされているハウスへお邪魔してきました。

写真では全くわからないと思いますが、ハウス内は南国のような暖かさ。
外は低温注意報が出たり出なかったりするほどの寒さなのに…。
ご主人さんは半袖で作業されていました。

さて、上の写真のように、巨峰はもう10センチから15センチほどの大きさ(長さ)になっていました。
「超加温」というふうに“超”がついている栽培ですが、昨年の11月上旬から加温を始めているそうです。(通常の加温栽培は年明けからだそうです)

今は粒ぬき(摘粒)作業の真っ最中でした。
一房の粒の数を調節して、これからの成長過程で一粒一粒が大きくなるようにする作業です。

順調にいくと、3月上旬には色づき始め、4月20日頃には出荷できるようになるそうです。
やっと桜が咲き始める頃に、もう巨峰が出荷されるなんてちょっと不思議な気分ですが、楽しみですね。

絵付け体験室オープン

日本土人形資料館に土人形の絵付け体験のためのスペースが完成し、本日小田切市長らを迎えてテープカットが行われました。テープカットの後にはさっそく絵付けに挑戦されていました。
In Nihon clay doll museun,new space for coloring clay doll was completed.The opening ceremony was taken place today.Mayor Otagiri took part in the ceremony and tried coloring just after that.

絵付け体験室には地元の資材を利用したイスや机が並べられて、一度に約４０人のお客様をお迎えできるようになりました。もちろん、少人数のグループでもご利用いただけます。
New room can accommodate about fourty visitors.Of course,small groups are also welcome.

絵付けを通してより多くの方に中野の土人形に親しんでいただきたいです。
I wish much more people try to color and make original clay doll.

ハウス栽培のタラの芽

タラの芽といえば、暖かくなってからでないと食べることのできない春の山菜
の代表と思っていましたが、「ふかし栽培」という方法ですでに出荷を始めている市内農家の方がいらっしゃいます。
Edible wild greens were eaten only in Spring,I thought.But a farmer in Nakano city grows it in plastic greenhouse and make possible to eat it in Winter.

春の陽気のように暖かいビニールハウスの中では、水を張った発砲スチロールに１０センチほどの穂木がぎっしり並んでいました。初めて見るふかし栽培の様子でしたが、穂木の頭から出ている緑色の芽は、まさしくの山菜のタラの芽でした。
In his plastic greenhouse,a lot of branches which cut approximate ten centimeter were arrayed in form polystyrene boxes.And edible buds appeared from each branch.I didn't know that it was possible to culcuvate edible wild greens.

７～８センチの大きさまで育ったものが収穫されます。
The bud which grew about seven to eight centimeter were cut.

家へのお土産に下さったものは、定番のてんぷらにしていただきました。根元までやわらかく、苦味がマイルドなので、味噌和えも美味しいそうです。春の味をひと足早く味わわせてもらいました。
Tempura is standard diet.I appreciated tender and a little bit bitter taste.

東京　有楽町に土人形現る!?

観光協会ホームページの新着情報にも掲載させていただきましたが、こちらでもお知らせ。

東京有楽町の東京交通会館(JR有楽町駅前)2階にある
「長野県東京観光情報センター」の展示スペースをお借りして、
毎年恒例(3月31日、4月1日)の『中野ひな市』と『まちかど土びな展』のPRで中野土人形を展示しています。
The Nakano clay dolls are exhibited in Nagano Tourism Information Center in Yuraku cho,Tokyo.It is a part of publicity of Nakano Hina Ichi.

中野人形(奈良家)と立ヶ花人形(西原家)それぞれの人形を数点展示しています。関羽やふぐ乗り大黒など、見応えのあるものを揃えました。
The dolls that represent both Nakano doll and Tategahana doll are chosen.

素朴だったり、艶やかだったり…中野土人形それぞれの人形がもつ良さを是非実際にご覧頂きたいと思います。
3月15日まで展示予定です。有楽町近辺にお越しの際は、東京交通会館2階へ！
I hope lots of visitors come and see these dolls.The dolls will be exhibited until March 15 in Nagano Tourism Information Center in the second floor of Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan(Tokyo traffic Hall).

真冬の農作業

おいしい野菜や果物などを一生懸命作ってくださる中野市の農家の皆さんも冬の間はゆっくりと過ごされていると思っていましたが、早くも次の収穫に向けての作業が始まっていました。ハウス栽培のサクランボの受粉作業です。
I thought farmers who had worked hard and produced delicious vegetables and fruit had comfortable time during winter.But they'd already started working,the pollination of cherry,in the plastic greenhouse for next harvest.

ビニールハウスの中は花が満開で1月とは思えない光景でした。
ソメイヨシノなどの観賞用のサクラとちがって真っ白な花びらなんですね。
The flowers were in the full bloomed despite January.The flower was pure white different from ornamental cherry blossoms.

収穫は３月下旬だそうです。
まだまだ寒さが続く中で、思いがけずお花見ができた気分でした。お忙しいところご協力いただき、ありがとうございました。
The harvest seems to be the end of March.I was glad to have an unexpected cherry blossom-viewing while the cold continued still more.

谷厳寺の延命水

この冬は近年では一番たくさんの雪が降っています。せっかくなので冬らしい景色を撮影しよう思い谷厳寺に行ってみたところ、ちょうど延命水を汲みに来ていたご夫婦がいらっしゃいました。
We had the most snowfall compare with last few years in this winter.I tried to take winter scene photograph for this opportunity.So I went Kokugon-ji temple and met the couple who was pomping Enmei-sui.

延命水でお茶を入れてよく飲むそうです。中野の名水は地元のみなさんに親しまれているようで嬉しいかぎりです。
They said that they often make a tea of Enmei-sui.The famous clear water of Nakano seems to be close to the locals.

中野ひな市に向けて　その３

中野人形を作る奈良家５代目久雄さんの息子さん、奈良由起夫さんも中野人形を作っていらっしゃいます。由起夫さんの工房で土を人形の型にはめる作業を見せて頂けるということでありがたくお邪魔してきました。
Mr.Yukio Tanaka,the son of Mr.Hisao Nara,creates Nakano doll,too.He showed the process of molding the clay the other day.

作っていたのは手のひらに乗るくらいの作品でしたが、人形によっては一抱えもある大きさなので厚さを均一に型をとるのは大変そうです。
He made small doll that was possible to put on a palm.But some dolls are so large that might be difficult to mold uniformly,I guessed.

今年の中野ひな市にむけて中野土人形が作られている様子を続けて紹介してきました。創作風景を実際に見ることができたおかげで、当日がますます楽しみになりました。
I introduced the preparetion of Nakano clay doll successively.I anticipate the Nakano Hina Ichi more and more through the opportunity to see the scenery of creating.

中野ひな市にむけて　その２

前回の更新で中野人形の製作を受け継いでいる奈良家を紹介しました。今日は、もう一つの中野土人形の系統、立ヶ花人形を作る西原家にお邪魔しました。
I introduced the Nara family who inherited the production of the Nakano doll by the last update.I visited the Nishihara family that is an ancestry of Tategahana dolls.

作業部屋の中には素焼きの後に白く塗られた大小さまざまな種類の人形がに並べられていました。今はまだ真っ白ですがこの後本格的に彩色が施され、鮮やかな人形が出来上がります。
There were small and large kinds of dolls which painted white after being unglazed in work room.They will be colored then and completed.

奈良さんと西原さんが毎日心をこめて作っている人形は、春にひな市にいらっしゃった方々に楽しんでいただけることと思います。
The dolls which the Nara family and the Nishihara family make heartily everyday will make visitors please in the Nakano Hina Ichi.

中野ひな市にむけて

道には雪が積もって、寒さも厳しい現在の中野市ですが、春に行われる中野ひな市の準備が着々とすすめられています。
中野ひな市で展示即売され、全国的にも有名な中野土人形には中野人形と立ヶ花人形の２つの系統があります。そのうち中野人形を代々つくり続けている奈良家の５代目、奈良久雄さんが人形を創作している様子を見せていただきました。

The severe cold was continued and snow fell frequently,but the preparations for spring festival "Nakano Hina Ichi" has been pushed forward.
Nakano Hina Ichi is nationally famous festival as a market of Nakano clay dolls.There are two ancestry of Nakano clay doll.One is Nakano doll by the Nara family,another is Tategahana doll by the Nishihara family.
Today I visited the fifth of the Nara family,Mr.Hisao Nara and saw his works.

最初は全体の色つけから始まりました。着物の細かい柄などは集中力のいる作業のようです。
He painted base color first.He seemed to concentrate when he paint small parts.

工房には色づけされていない素焼きの人形がたくさん置かれていました。これから中野ひな市にむけてお忙しくなる中で、貴重な時間をいただきました。
I appreciate his cooporation while he is going to be busier for Nakano Hina Ichi.

今年の中野ひな市は３月３１日(水）、４月１日(木）に開催されます。たくさんの美しい人形がならぶのが今から楽しみです。
Nakano Hina Ichi will be take place on March 31(Wed) and April1(Thur).I'm looking forward to see a lot of beautiful clay dolls.

干支暖簾展

２０１０年最初の更新は年のはじめにぴったりの展示の紹介です。信州中野観光センターで、十二支が描かれた暖簾が展示されています。
The first update of this year is an intruduction of exhibition which is good for the beginning of the year.The noren(Japanese fabric divider)that twelve signs of Chinese zodiac were drawn on is exhibited in Shinshu Nakano sightseeing center.

市内在住の染物作家田中ゆきひとさんが卯年から毎年描き続けた作品です。今年で十二支すべての絵柄がならびました。１２年越しの作品だけあって年によって絵の雰囲気がまったく違っていますので、ぜひすべての絵を直接見ていただきたいです。
こちらの暖簾展は１月３１日(木)までご覧になれます。
These are the works of dyed goods artist Mr.Yukihito Tanaka.Since he drew Rabbit eleven years ago,he continued to draw each year's animals every year and finished to draw Earthly Branches this year.Each motives were written in different year,so it might be interesting to compare the difference of atmosphere.
These works will be displayed until January 31(Thur).

Though it's a little late greeting,a happy new year.I'm going to keep trying to introduce good informations during the year.
